Dear DPH/CAREWare MA colleagues,

Molly, Chris and I (aka the CAREWare MA helpdesk at JSI) are preparing to transition our provider communication to a new email format. Beginning on Monday we will be using MailChimp. There are several reasons why we’re making this switch:

  1. To drive traffic to the helpdesk, instead of to my inbox, when people have questions – that way we can keep track of inquiries more easily and make sure they are addressed promptly.
  2. To enable users to subscribe and unsubscribe for themselves instantly.
  3. To prevent the “reply all” phenomenon, where someone can inadvertently respond to 190 people instead of just to the sender.

There is a small down side that we’re aware of, which is that providers won’t be able to see that their contract manager is also cc’ed on emails. I hope that is not too much of an inconvenience for you – please do let me know if you have questions or concerns. Of course if you are wondering who is on the list (etc.) you can just ask us and we’ll be happy to let you know.
